WE MUST FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS

I feel very strongly that our society must fight against the highest levels
of drug trafficking much more vigorously than we do. The Mayor of Vancouver
stated that 80% or more of crime is directly and indirectly related to
drugs. Kids as young as 12 are becoming addicted and dying from heroin and
cocaine. A lot of people only have 3 things on their mind: how do they get
their next fix, how much will it cost, and how can I avoid the police?
Illicit drugs are in epidemic proportions in Vancouver and Nanaimo.
Victoria, as well as many other cities, is not far behind. A B.C. Supreme
Court Judge sentenced drug traffickers to 20 years and stated this problem
is very severe.

The average citizen must demand harsher sentences for drug traffickers
across Canada. These must be in the form of longer jail sentences and more
possessions confiscated. Please write your MP, Solicitor General of Canada
and Provincial Attorney General. This is a problem that requires much
stronger attention and punishment.
