POLICE FIND POT IN THEIR EXERCISE ROOM

Oklahoma City police did not have to look very hard to find some hidden
marijuana, they only had to look up.

It was stashed above their heads inside the station.

An informant tipped off police Friday that a jail trusty who worked
cleaning the police department's Springlake station, 4016 N Prospect Ave.,
had hidden a small amount of marijuana above the ceiling tiles of the
weight-lifting room.

The informant said a second trusty was supposed to find the pot and take it
to a state correctional center.

Officers found a plastic egg above a ceiling tile. Inside the egg were
plastic bags containing marijuana.

Officers also found a scale, rubber gloves and plastic bags inside a stereo
speaker in the weight room. Police found pills believed to be amphetamines,
pornographic magazines and cigarette papers in the room, though a police
report did not state where.

No one has been arrested, but the discovery is under investigation, police
said.
