Letter: Flawed Study
I am responding to a letter by Woodrow Nichols Jr. Aug. 18 in which he
bestows upon us all of the blessings and facts of marijuana use for medical
purposes.
Having never been a user of marijuana myself (it has always been a moral
issue for me), I cannot speak with as much authority on the subject as Mr.
Nichols does.
However, I must say I totally disagree with him when he states that a
rhesus monkey study, which was conducted at the National Center for
Toxicological Research in Arkansas, showed no marijuana related problems of
any kind.
Mr. Nichols should know, as most of us do, that pot-smoking monkeys from
Arkansas do not inhale!
