(a) Is not the problem. We want the stories, even if identical, from as
many sources as possible. This may seem redundant, but our many readers who
send Letters to the Editor would like as many targets as possible.

(b) Is the problem. While a great many newshawks follow specific
newspapers, some use various search tools to find items of interest from
all over. Thus we do receive at editor@mapinc.org a fair number of
identical items from the same source. No purpose is served in posting the
same item from the same source more than once When we can we try to give
credit to each newshawk that posts the item, but this is often not easy to
do. Fully a third of the duplicates are posted over a day apart.

But with a little help from our roboeditor software, and you good newshawks
supplying the title in the subject line of the email, we can spot the same
source duplicates, we hope.
