THE CANDY MENACE

You see them all the time, probably without recognizing their
insidious intent. They hang around playgrounds, flashing the stuff in
front of the kids, and finally, offering them a buzz - just take one,
kid, it's on me. And when you're tired of it, like, eat it, OK? And
hey, kid if you dig candy cigarettes, I can take you to the next level
bubble-gum cigars. Licorice pipes. Hey, pass the word. Not a cough
in a carload, got it?

Folks, we got trouble, with a capital T and that rhymes with C and
that stands for candy cigarettes. Where is the Music Man when we need
him?

We just couldn't pass it up. Actually, we've long admired and
applauded Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller's anti-tobacco crusade. We
continue to support its intent, if not all of its manifestations, such
as a concern for the possible influence of candy cigarettes.
