MAN JAILED TWO YEARS
A Winnipeg man who used a warehouse to run a large marijuana grow operation
has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to
possession for the purpose of trafficking.
During a sentencing hearing yesterday, court heard Kenneth Dueck, 27,
rented a warehouse on Inkster Boulevard under the guise of operating a
cabinet-making business.
When police raided the building in August, 1997, they found 300 marijuana
plants, 14,000 grams of pot and upwards of 20,000 worth of hydroponic
supplies inside.
