GALASHIELS POLICEMAN ON DRUG-DEALING CHARGES
A 43-year-old policeman appeared in private at Duns Sheriff Court yesterday
charged with supplying drugs.
Constable Allan Johnston is alleged to have committed the offence in
Galashiels, where he is stationed. He made no plea or declaration and was
released on bail with the case continued for further examination. A police
dpokesman confirmed later that the constable is currently suspended from
duty.
