NHS VIAGRA COSTS 'HALVED'
ANTI-impotence drug VIAGRA will not cost the health service anywhere near
the predicted UKP1000m bill, manufacturer Pfizer UK insisted yesterday.
The drug, thought to have resurrected the sex lives of many in America, has
been offered to the NHS at UKP5 a pill, following discussions between its
makers and officials at the Department of Health last week.
Pfizer UK Chairman Ken Moran said: "Our estimates and their estimates of
what the cost would be is around UKP50m."
