CRACKDOWN ON CROSS DEALERS
SYDNEY Police would crack down on the "subhuman" drug dealers in
Sydney's notorious red-light district Kings Cross, NSW Premier Bob
Carr said yesterday.
Residents have complained of increased cocaine dealing, with deals
taking place in daylight and locals threatened by addicts.
Mr Carr said an extra 32 police would patrol the area over the next
five weeks under Operation City Safe III. He said there had been 457
drug arrests in Kings Cross since January.
