DRUG SENTENCE
A Saskatchewan man fighting for the right to light up a joint for medical
treatment has been spared a jail term. Grant Krieger, who has multiple
sclerosis, was convicted in June of possession of marijuana for the purposes
of trafficking. The offence normally carries a jail sentence but Judge
Robert Davie imposed a $500 fine yesterday.
