ANOTHER HEROIN DEATH
Northeast Tarrant County has experienced another heroin death. Hello! Is
anybody listening?
Parents and communities can no longer deny that we have a heroin problem.
We cannot and must not ignore these unending cries from our children.
The Northeast Tarrant County Drug Task Force says that three cities --
Colleyville, Southlake and Keller -- do not provide an officer to the task
force. Is the future generation not important enough to protect now?
There are no economic boundaries on heroin, no educational boundaries, no
cultural boundaries. We cannot trap heroin outside a gated community and
think we have it under control.
As the mother of a heroin addict, I beg all parents and communities to do
all you can, spend as much as it takes, to help fight the war on drugs. I
do not want my child to become another statistic to Northeast Tarrant
County's apathy. This is an invisible disease, and it is killing our children.
