LEGAL POT IS NOT THE REMEDY
The No. 1 medical problem in this country is not cancer, heart disease, or
AIDS. It's short-term memory loss.
We have just finished battling the tobacco industry and were "shocked" to
find out that cigarettes were purposely made to be addicting.
Our hospitals are filled with alcoholics, drug addicts, and lung-cancer
victims.
And "potheads" to the list now.
Television carries commercials about parents talking to their kids about
drugs and others that show horrible auto accidents and deaths of teen-agers
caused by driving while intoxicated.
Is legalizing pot going make [sic] things better? We can't keep kids from
abusing "legal" alcohol or "legal" cigarettes. What's going to stop them
from abusing "legal" pot?
