MARIJUANA HUMBUG

Your sniping at George Soros, John Sperling, and Peter Lewis for their
medical marijuana advocacy ("Asides", Oct. 28) was tedious. Medicinal use a
`bad message' to children? Humbug. That's like disapproving of morphine use
among the dying in the absurd belief that it might inspire street heroin
addiction. It's hurtful nonsense to promote "just say no" by saying "just
let `em suffer."
