TIMELY BLOW TO DRUG PUSHERS

CONCERNED parents will welcome moves to tackle the growing menace of
illegal designer drugs peddled to young people at so-called rave dance
parties.

The decision to use undercover and uniform police to swoop on drug
traffickers peddling their illicit wares to easily influenced young people
was long overdue.

The question law-abiding Australians, especially parents, want answered is
why it took the police ministers so long to act.

The shame is that a nation-wide police blitz did not happen earlier, before
precious young lives were lost.
