HEROIN PROJECT BROADENED
Showing little concern for international criticism, the Netherlands
authorities will broaden the Heroin Distribution Program which was started
last July. The ministry of health announced on Tuesday, 11/24/98, that the
intake of addicts would be increased to around 750. The ministry based its
decision on the positive report which had been received. Of the 45 addicts
who had received a daily dose of heroin, not one had fallen foul of the law.
