DARE TO COMPARE EFFECTIVENESS

Constable Jeff Scott forgot to mention (The News, Oct. 26), nearly
every study, including government studies, show Drug Abuse Resistance
Education (DARE) is a failure and may be causing more drug use than
no anti drug education at all.

It's understandable that police and their unions want to create more
low risk jobs and increase job security, but the money should be used
for programs proven effective; which is not DARE.

And isn't there a conflict of interest when DARE police officers
teach that cannabis (marijuana, the devil weed), is bad and God
indicates He created all the seed bearing plants saying they are all
good, on literally the very first page of the Bible (see: Genesis
1:11-12 and 29-30)?
