A SUGGESTION

My heart goes out to the relatives and friends who have lost loved
ones to drug overdoses. They try to help but are helpless. The
addicted tell them that they can quit any time and can handle it on
their own. The young people see themselves as immortal; it won't
happen to them -- it always happens to the other guy.

The public should be reminded constantly how many have died this past
year. How about your newspaper devoting a page for the pictures and
obits of the drug-overdose victims? If these statistics could be seen
daily, people who are using might be moved to do something. Who knows?
