NOW GET ON WITH CORE HEALTH ISSUES

BRAVO! Mr Moore has announced that he has shelved the plans for a safe
injecting facility (shooting gallery).

Whilst the Health Minister has been devoting his energies towards
fringe-dweller issues such as the shooting gallery, the ACT health
system has again been subject to budget over-runs and the current
round of enterprise-bargaining negotiations at the Canberra Hospital
is in disarray (following rejection of the agreement by nursing staff).

The Health Minister may be better advised to concentrate on the core
issues of his portfolio such as delivering cost-effective health care
to ACT residents rather than impersonating "Don Quixote" charging windmills.
