GUARDS DESERVED BETTER

I take strong exception to the cartoon by Mark Fiore regarding the
California Department of Corrections (Opinion, Feb. 3). It is a
generalization uncharacteristic of the majority of this fine
organization, and it is accordingly unworthy of them and you.

Hyperbole can be a useful tool in fiction, but in reality, it visits
the sins of the few on the many. You are not usually this careless.
The readers expect more discretion from you.
