YOUTH JUSTICE
Justice Minister Toews is right on the mark in his summation of
criminal activity among the under-12 age group. The Youth Criminal
Justice Act is a little short of an open invitation to commit a
crime, since the consequences for youth, if they are caught, are
totally meaningless. The kids know this. Lower the age limit, and
remove the anonymity, which only serves as an opportunity for youths
to laugh at the law.
