ATTORNEY UNDER FIRE

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 20 (UPI) - U.S. District Judge Harvey Schlesinger
of Jacksonville said Friday he will take action against an attorney who
lied to the court in a sworn affidavit.

R. Cash Barlow is accused of falsely saying he did not know how much
cocaine a former client was accused of selling and misunderstood what was
being offered in a plea deal.

The client tried to withdraw his plea because he said Barlow did not tell
him how much prison time was involved.

Testimony Friday included Barlow's written notes on the case, which showed
he knew exactly what his client was charged with.
