KAZAKH MAJOR NABBED TRYING TO SMUGGLE 18 KILOS OF DRUGS
DUSHANBE, February 26 (Itar-Tass) - A serviceman of the Kazakhstan Defence
Ministry was detained at the Dushanbe airport on February 25 in an attempt
to smuggle 18 kilograms of drugs, including 2.5 kg of pure heroin, Itar-
Tass learnt at the Tajikistan Interior Ministry.
The drugs were unearthed in a car in which Major Ermand Usinov of
Kazakhstan interior troops drove to board a military plane. Usinov was on a
business trip in Tajikistan.
Investigation is now in progress.
