The last week has been a very busy week for the newshawks and editors of
the news clipping service of the Media Awareness Project. For the first 20
days of March an average of 50 news items were posted each day, going out
in our various email versions of the news, and posted to the website. The
news on the medical marijuana front pushed the number of items posted for a
single day to 76 on Thursday and to another record, 84 on Saturday. The
medical marijuana issue has always been the subject of about a fourth of
the news items we post, and marijuana overall, about half.

You can easily focus in on specific topics of interest by using our
searchable archives, with nearly 20,000 articles on line. For example, I
searched the current, last two weeks, news using the keywords college and
university (you just enter: college university - the and is understood) and
found 41 news articles. The search feature is at the URL at the top of this
message.

Readers and webmasters may not be aware that we have a number of shortcuts
