NO BACKING DOWN ON 'THREE STRIKES'

The people of California voted for the "three strikes" law because crime
was getting out of control due to lenient judges. Now we hear about crime
rates going down and sob stories of why Johnny shouldn't be sent up the
river. Maybe Johnny made a mistake once, even twice, but with the third
felony conviction let's get Johnny off the streets.

Johnny was convicted three times. How many times did he get away? They say
Johnny's problem may be drug related, and there is a good chance they're
correct. But I don't want Johnny hurting me or my family due to his
addiction. How many times have we failed to rehabilitate addicts? The next
time Johnny steals for drug money he may kill someone. Please help our
families by leaving the "three strikes"law alone.
