SUPREME COURT HEARS MEDICAL MARIJUANA CASE
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., - The Florida Supreme Court heard
oral arguments today in the matter of the state of Florida vs. George
Sowell.
Sowell was convicted of possession of marijuana, which he was using to
control his glaucoma and nausea.
But an appeals court reversed the conviction on the grounds his use of
marijuana was a medical necessity. It is not known when the high court
will hand down its ruling.
