FORMER DOLPHIN FACES DRUG CHARGES
MIAMI, Fla., - A former running back for the Miami
Dolphins of the National Football League faces drug charges in two
states; Mississippi and Florida.
Irving Spikes is in jail in Gulfport, Miss., charged with selling more
than four pounds of cocaine and his involvement in a shootout in front
of a Biloxi, Miss., apartment building.
Spikes was indicted last week in Fort Lauderdale on possession of
cocaine and conspiracy to distribute the drugs.
The former football player is expected to be transferred to south
Florida in the next two weeks for a court appearance in the next two
weeks.
