RENO FAMILY WATCHING DUI BILL
RENO, April 19 (UPI) - A Reno family is keeping a close eye on a bill
which has passed another major hurdle in the state legislature.
KRNV-TV reports Jerry and Stevie Mager helped write the measure after
their son was killed in an accident three years ago. The driver of
the car in which their son was riding was under the influence of
marijuana, but did not have enough in his system to be considered
impaired. The bill, which has now received senate approval, would
apply DUI laws to drivers with detectable amounts of heroin, cocaine,
L-S-D, marijuana or other drugs in their blood.
