CHOOSE PREVENTION
I have sympathy for those addicted to drugs. The consequences of
addictions are grave.
Besides the risks to the addicts, there is much risk to the general
public.
Supplying safe-injection sites is making it safer for the addicts, but
is it safer for the general public?
I believe a safe environment for the law-abiding public is more
important than the safety of those afflicted with drug dependency.
When someone has cancer, we don't try to save the cancer cells. They
are cut out or destroyed.
Saving a cancerous growth is insanity. Safe-injection sites are not an
option.
Prevention is the only option. And, in my opinion, tough consequences
for those involved in the drug trade are part of the cure.
