COMPARING CANCER VICTIMS TO ADDICTS IS INSULTING

In response to the letter by Mike Williams about addiction being a
medical problem, I agree.

However, let's get real here. He says that "people don't choose to
become drug addicts, just like people don't choose to get cancer."

This is an insult to all those suffering from cancer and other
non-preventable diseases.

Drug addiction is a preventable disease. Drug users have to take some
responsibility for their own actions.

They are not totally blameless.

Did someone force them to put a needle into their arm?
