LSD PUT IN TEACHER'S MUG

IRVING -- Police say students placed LSD in their teacher's coffee cup at an
Irving school.

The incident happened at Winfree Academy, a charter school for at-risk
students who already have attended alternative schools.

Police Lt. Terry Zettle said the teacher received the hallucinogenic drug on
Tuesday. He was treated and released from Baylor Medical Center in Irving,
and probably will have no long-term effects from the drug.

Eight students have been sent home from the school -- two suspected of
giving the teacher LSD and six others who might have known about it.
