CHAPEL ACTION A THREAT TO DEMOCRATIC PROCESS

NO GOVERNMENT can be coerced by threats such as those attributed to the
handful of people at the Wayside Chapel.

Capitulation under threat excludes the democratic process which 100,000 or
more of our countrymen have died for.

The reported threat to "flood" the chapel with persons to "shoot up" if
they do not get what they want is unbelievable.

If successful, people who want to drink and drive could threaten to flood
the roads with drunken drivers unless drink-drive laws are removed or the
legal blood alcohol limit is raised to 0.3ml/100g; or a given length of
road be set aside legally in various suburbs to allow those who want to
drink-drive to do so, and do it without fear of any prosecution.

The (tragic) fact is some people continue to die on the roads while others
are saved, but would anyone seriously suggest the road-alcohol laws should
be scrapped because of those deaths!
