OLIVER STONE ARRESTED
Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone has been arrested in Beverly Hills on
suspicion of drunken driving and possession of hashish. Stone, 52, was
pulled over Wednesday and released after posting $12,500 bond.
A call to Stone's press officer was not immediately returned. He is due to
appear in Beverly Hills Municipal Court on July 16, Beverly Hills police said.
The director won Oscars for "Platoon'' and "Born on the Fourth of July.''
His movies also include "JKF,'' "Wall Street'' and "Natural Born Killers.''
