HIGHER POWER HELPS ADDICTS GAIN CONTROL

I recently learned that the success rate for recovery in most drug and
alcohol programs is 10 percent or less. There is hope however. Teen
Challenge is the only drug/alcohol recovery program in the U.S. with a high
success rate of 86 percent!

I spoke with a very nice woman who represented Teen Challenge. I asked her
what was the secret of their program and why was it so much more victorious
over the addictions of their patrons. She told me that the difference is
that many drug/alcohol programs depend on a higher power, not any specific
power, for their strength and will power.

There is nothing preventing them from returning to their old habits. But at
Teen Challenge, our emphasis is to depend on Jesus Christ. But that's no secret.

It is also interesting to note that Teen Challenge is also one of the few
programs that is not government funded. It is privately funded.
