EX-CORCORAN GUARD GETS NEW PRISON JOB
An associate warden at Corcoran State Prison fired amid allegations
that he allowed guards to use excessive force has been given a job at
another prison.
Bruce Farris was dismissed three yeas ago for condoning the use of
excessive force and for incompetence and inexcusable neglect of duty.
He appealed and his punishment was reduced to a one-year suspension.
Farris received an associate-warden post at the maximum-security High
Desert State Prison in Susanville in Lassen County this month,
Corrections Department spokeswoman Kati Corsaut said Monday.
