DON'T BELIEVE APOLOGISTS FOR MARIJUANA, ALCOHOL
Iam a mother of four teen-age sons who still have a father at home. This is
in response to the letter, "Lying is the wrong way to solve drug problems"
(Aug. 5), specifically focusing on the statement: "Any intelligent person
knows marijuana is not addictive."
The statement is a lie--straight from hell itself. The weed is not only
addictive, it breeds mass destruction with it.
We have experienced firsthand the damage of opening up oneself to
satisfying curiosity and going along with the group. We have witnessed and
stood beside those whose lives have been tortured from the mental,
physical, emotional and spiritual torment of marijuana.
I also have witnessed the effects of alcohol. There is no lesser of two
evils. Both breed destruction, anger, loss of school, loss of job, loss of
freedom, loss of our dependence on God until all is lost.
There is hope for those who have no hope. You will find him at the
crossroads in your life.
