MAN KILLED BY POLICE ID'D
The name of the man who died after being shot Friday by police during an
undercover drug operation in northeast Houston has been identified as Alvaro
Henry Viveros, 27.
An officer with the Harris County Organized Crime Narcotics Task Force shot
Viveros about 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a Whataburger at the corner of
Homestead Road and North Loop East.
Viveros was shot after he tried to run over one of the officers about to
arrest him, police said. Viveros lived in the 7600 block of Sterlingshire.
