BUSH PUSHES BACK DRUG DATE
Republican presidential frontrunner George W. Bush yesterday extended back
to 1974 the period for which he is willing to declare he has been drug free.
For the second time in two days, the Texas governor elaborated on the
persistent but unproven rumour that he has used illegal drugs. Earlier, he
said he could pass the standard FBI background check that asks about drug
use over the past seven years.
