HOW TO DEAL WITH DRUGS (LTE 2)
The independent commission referred to in your drugs policy leader (August
16) is the Inquiry into the misuse of drugs act 1971, set up two years ago
by the Police Foundation with the generous support of a number of
charitable trusts. The inquiry, chaired by Dame Ruth Runciman, has recently
completed its extensive programme of research and taking evidence and is on
schedule to report early in the new year.
