UNENDING QUESTIONS
I commend Gov. George W. Bush for his refusal to allow the media to
make this a campaign of personal slander, rumors and innuendos. If he
answers "Yes" to the question of cocaine use, what will the next
question be? When, how often, with who etc., etc. If he answers "No,"
does anyone really think the media will believe him and stop digging
into his past?
He has answered "No" to drug use in the last seven years just as all
federal employees must do. For me, I am much more interested in his
ideas on stopping drug smuggling at our borders and educating our
children on the dangers of drug use. Maybe the lesson there is "Don't
do drugs. Someday you may run for president and your drug use will be
the only issue of interest."
