POLL'S CONCLUSION SUSPECT

The Province recently cited a poll saying the majority of Lower
Mainland residents support the continued funding of a safe-injection site.

The results stemmed from a poll of 506 people and was financed by
Insite for Community Safety, an advocate for the safe-injection site.

I don't believe 506 people constitutes a majority and I don't trust a
poll done by a group that is an advocate for these sites.

How about doing an honest survey by sending one out to all Lower
Mainland residents to see what the real majority think?

I have no hesitation with my taxes going to treatment centres -- in
fact, I think there should be more money spent in this area.

But I refuse to help anyone maintain their self-destructive behaviour.

Why not have a safe site that is truly safe? One where you can find
food, shelter, counselling, treatment and, just maybe, a little love.
