BEYOND THE FRINGE
A new survey contradicts the image of drug users as people on the fringe of
society. The survey of 24,000 Americans by the Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration indicated 70 per cent of people who abuse
drugs, including marijuana and heroin, work full time. And 80 per cent of
those who abuse alcohol are fully employed.
