FURTHER BAIL FOR LAWYER

A PROMINENT Melbourne solicitor was one of four people in court
yesterday over a $6 million cocaine haul.

Andrew Roderick Fraser, 48, of West St Kilda, is charged with
trafficking cocaine, possessing cocaine, using cocaine and possessing
ecstasy.

Magistrate David McLennan extended Mr Fraser's bail until September
27, with a condition he not attend points of international departure.

Mr Fraser later told reporters: "Things are not always as they seem in
life, on the surface".

Two women and a man charged over the Saturday raids later appeared in
court.

Werner Paul Roberts, 52, of Greig Court, Elwood, faces one count of
importing a commercial quantity of cocaine and one of possessing a
commercial quantity of cocaine.

Andrea Mohr, 35, also of Greig Court, Elwood, faces one count of
conspiring with others to import a commercial quantity of cocaine and
one count of knowingly being concerned in the importation of a
commercial quantity of cocaine.

Carol Brand, 35, of Alma Rd, St Kilda, faces one charge of importing a
commercial quantity of cocaine into NSW, possessing a commercial
quantity of cocaine, and possessing a prohibited import, namely
cocaine. All were remanded in custody.
