A WAY TO FIX "METH MADNESS"

Dear Editor:

Yes, we have a meth problem in Grants and everywhere else. We need to
focus on the drug dealers. The funding should be spent on drug raids,
not on a police officer for the schools. If we did not have drug
dealers we would not have drugs on the street or in the schools. Let's
run them out of town.

I know one of my neighbors (if they deserve to be called that) are
drug dealers that do not work and they have better vehicles than I do
they party all day and night and they send their kid to St. Teresa and
they have the state pay for it. Wow, private school for their kids
paid by the state while they sell drugs all day.

Our other neighbor also dose not work and also sells drugs all day and
night. We have reported it but are told they have rights. They have
the right to sell drugs to our kids, your kids and young adults.

If you go to the courts you will see all the users there but no drug
dealers are in court. Why? Oh, you're shorthanded, but not too
shorthanded to get all the small guys doing crime because of the drug
use.

Marty, please respond to this letter. When was the last time you had a
drug raid? Seven years ago or more. Come on, is this job security for
you? Meth madness (articles in the Beacon) want to educate the parents
- - all they have to do is go on-line. Type in meth and learn everything
you want to know about it, including how to make it. It used to take
three days to make a meth lab, and now it takes three hours and two
bottles.

Use the funding to bring down the drug dealers, not to educate the
parents. They have an educational tutor on meth free of charge. As far
as educating the kids, don't use funding for that, they have computers
in school. Have them click on meth and it shows how it damages the
brain and what it does to your face and your friends and family. This
site does not teach you how to make it, only all the effects it has on
you. It's free.

Again, use the funding to run the drug dealers out of town. I know we
are not the only ones that report the drug dealers. We have talked to
other parents and Mt Taylor Addition is worse. Listen to the parents -
we follow our kids and we know where they are getting it. Marty, do we
have to take matters in our own hands? I would volunteer my time, my
house so you could see what I see. Let the stop sign violations go and
get the drug dealers out of Cibola County.
