THANK YOU SANTA ROSA OFFICERS: I DO FEEL SAFER
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the thrilling story
about the arrest of the lady for growing pot on her back porch
("Deputies: Pot found at home of 57-year-old Navarre woman," Aug. 29).
My pride in the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office swelled with every
sentence, but I want more details.
Was a SWAT team deployed? Was the area cordoned off? Were bullhorns
needed? Was tear gas ever considered? How many back-up cars responded?
Was a K-9 unit alerted? How many shots were fired? Will this arrest
deal a crippling blow to drug dealers here and abroad?
This incident should deliver a strong message to people everywhere:
What makes you think you can grow a couple of plants in the privacy of
your own home and get away with it? Where do you think you are, in the
United States?
I'm sure the people of Navarre are thankful that this sinister
operation has been shut down. They're all undoubtedly sleeping better
these nights.
