A PARENT'S GUIDE TO GUIDING KIDS

A tracking study by the Partnership for a Drug-Free America indicates that
children whose parents teach them the risks of drugs are 42 percent less
likely to smoke marijuana than those whose parents don't discuss drugs.
Another study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association,
reports that children who felt close to their families were less likely to
smoke, drink or use drugs.

A brochure produced by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. offers
information on how parents can teach responsibility and become more involved
in their children's lives.
