JUDGE DOESN'T BUY MUNCHIES EXCUSE
STELLARTON - A Nova Scotia man who says he smokes marijuana for
medical purposes did not get too far with a judge yesterday. David
Korzenowski, 37, of Stellarton pleaded guilty to possession - but he
told the judge pot helps him eat. Korzenowski said he has lost his
appetite because of hepatitis C and marijuana helps him regain his
desire for food. Judge Clyde MacDonald responded by saying there are
legal drugs that stir the appetite. He then handed Korzenowski a $300
fine.
