DRUG WAR'S "TRUTH' ISN'T BEYOND DISPUTE

To the editor:
(Concerning the Sept. 7 advertisement headlined "Truth, the Anti-Drug,"
which was sponsored by the Office of National Drug Control
Policy/Partnership for a Drug-Free America):

There is considerable irony in the choice of "the geocentric system"
as an example of how "truths change" from time to time.

Galileo died while under a sentence of house arrest due to the
enforcement of "the geocentric system." Today, modern inquisitors of
the drug war backed by the ONDCP/PDFA are busy imprisoning (for life)
those who would dare challenge their current version of the "truth"
about marijuana.
