HEMP SEED SHIPMENT CLEARED
After a lengthy battle, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and U.S.
Customs will allow a shipment of sterilized hemp seeds from an Ontario
firm across the border. The 18,000-kilogram shipment from Kenex Ltd.
was seized in August in Detroit because the seeds contain minute
traces of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
