IT'S TIME FOR EVERYONE TO FACE FACTS ABOUT DRUGS
I am happy to reply to your readers - one with an address in Scotland and
one with an address in England The Examiner, November 27) - regarding the
dangers of cannabis and the source of the information contained in my
letter to The Examiner published. The facts about the dangers of cannabis,
some of which I included in my letter, were contained in an excellent
article in that most respected of publications, The Readers Digest.
I suggest that the two gentlemen who took such exception to these facts
being printed in The Examiner, contact the Readers Digest and ask for a
copy of the article. There was a note at the bottom of it inviting people
to write for copies at a very small cost.
Yes, it is time for the full truth about drugs to come out and if my letter
has done nothing else but to set the debate in motion, then we in Positive
Action for Children PACh) will feel we have achieved a great deal.
It is sad that Mr Murdoch's and Mr Williams' approach to the drug problem
is so very negative. As our name suggests, we believe in Positive Action at
all times, for the sake of the children.
