PM MUST OBSERVE OTHER TREATIES TOO
YESTERDAY'S cartoon featuring a wake-up call for our Prime Minister rings a
bell with me. Now that Mr Howard has discovered international standards for
drug-injecting rooms, perhaps he could apply International Labour
Organisation standards to his industrial-relations plans. And he could
spare a thought for 130,000 homeless Australian children, the UN Convention
on the Rights of the Child and his policy of cutting social services
budgets and taxing charities.
